HUNTING SAFARI
At Mountain View Safaris & Tourism we hope that your stay and hunt with us will be an unforgettable experience.
The Lodge is not in a malaria area so no special vaccinations are required. Mosquito repellent is however advised. Your safari starts on the day of your arrival and ends on the date of departure. Upon arrival at the farm, you will be required to sign an indemnity form and pay the balance of your daily rate charges if you have not done so already. Prior to your departure, you will need to settle your account in full.
Rifle hunters should ensure that necessary travel permits and/or licenses are valid for the transport of their rifles. The lodge issues travel permits for transportation of hunted game. It is the responsibility of the hunter or guest to obtain the meat transportation permit prior to departure from Management.
We can accommodate rifle hunters, bow hunters and handgun hunters. We are open to any specific requests from guests and can accommodate any request for the hunting of animals not currently present on the property within a 90 minute drive from Mountain View.
Our guests can expect to share in the abundance of vibrant birdlife and exciting wildlife on the property including a large variety of rare feathered and furry residents like our resident pair of Brown Hyenas. The general topography of the area and the fact that we have been blessed with an almost even split between mountains and plains result in an exceptional aesthetically pleasing experience for all our visitors due to the wide variety of habitats present.
Experienced
TO GUIDE YOU
All of our PH’s and trackers are born and raised in Southern Africa and very familiar with the African bush. Their intimate knowledge of the property and local fauna and flora will give even the most inexperienced hunter a distinct advantage to afford him the best opportunity to have an enjoyable and successful hunt. All hunting operates on a fair chase basis. In other words, the hunter does not always win, but we will assist you as best we can to obtain the trophy or animal you are after. We offer a variety of hunting methods, from traditional walk and stalk to blinds, while hunting from a vehicle is permitted if arranged prior to arrival.
Natural Predators
Please be aware
Please be aware that a variety of spiders, scorpions, snakes and predators naturally occur on the properties and utmost care should be taken by all guests at all times to avoid an unfortunate encounter. Please inform Management immediately should one of these “guests” be observed and refrain from handling or removing them yourself. Please refrain from approaching or feeding ostriches, monkeys, baboons or any other wild animal or reptile.
